Nissho (Japanese日 昭; * 1221, † 1323) was one of the six senior disciples of Nichiren and the uncle of Nichiro. He was the only disciple of Nichiren who was older than Nichiren himself
As Nichiren was also a priest of the Tendai and Nissho even after Nichiren's death, he tried to reform the Tendai school. On the foundation of the Nissho Myohokke -ji temple goes back. Within the Nichiren Buddhism, he is also the founder of Hama school.
