No, Virginia ... is the third studio album by the American duo The Dresden Dolls. It was published on 16 May 2008. It is a collection of archival recordings that have already been made for the previous album Yes, Virginia ..., but did not make it to the final version of the CD, and recordings of songs that the band had only played live.
Musical Style
The approach from Yes, Virginia ... was pursued. Already on the previous album was put on sudden tempo or time signature changes and dissonant sounds less value. This development has been criticized on the one hand by many fans, however, construed on the other side by many critics as a necessary evolution of the band. Nevertheless contains a few titles whose harmonic turns very typical of Amanda Palmer's style (eg "Night Reconnaissance ").
