Nobia

Nobia is a kitchen manufacturer in Sweden. Nobia AB employs 8,000 people and has annual sales of about SEK 16 billion ( EUR 1.745 billion ).

The Swedish company Nobia was founded in 1996 and is today the largest manufacturer of kitchen furniture in Europe. The company is based in Stockholm, at the stock market, the corporation is listed. The major regional, national and international brands of Nobia are represented in many European countries. The company specializes in maßgefertige fitted kitchens and achieved some of its revenue through franchising.

The group includes more than 20 local food producers in Sweden, Finland, Great Britain, Germany, Austria, Denmark, Norway and France, which have continued to operate as independent companies. Nobia produced in Germany, among others, under Poggenpohl (since 2000 /2001), in Austria under Ewe (since 2005) or, for example in the UK under the brand magnet (since 2000 /2001).

2003, there was a dispute between Nobia and the German kitchen manufacturer Nobilia due to the confusion of the two names.

Culinoma Holding

In February 2007, Nobia and the Dutch De MandemakersGroep BV have an equal share in the joint venture Culinoma holding company. In March 2010, De Mandemakers Nobia Group buys 50 % stake in Culinoma and will also take over all shares of Nobia the Pronorm fitted kitchens GmbH.
