Nobile (crater)

Nobile is an impact crater on the lunar front side near the south pole, south of the crater southwest of Scott and Amundsen. The irregular oval shaped crater rim is heavily eroded, uneven inside.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1994 after the Italian airship pioneer Umberto Nobile Bauer and Arctic.
