Noé ( Noah ) is an opera in three acts and was the last opera by the composer Jacques Fromental Halévy.

The libretto was written by Jules- Henri Vernoy de Saint- Georges, who also wrote the libretto for Halévy's first opera L' Artisan (1827 ). Noé is based on the biblical story of Noah.

Halévy working on the opera in his last years ( 1858-1862 ). He left but unfinished as the Paris Opera, which wanted to perform the work in the season of 1860, had returned to the factory after reviewing the score of the first four acts. Halévy's son Georges Bizet completed the final opera, but could not move to another theater for a performance. Noé was first performed on 5 April 1885 in Karlsruhe, ten years after Bizet's death. The opera is also known under the name Le Déluge ( The Flood) known to Bizet had proposed.
