Noise (electronics)

The current noise is a noise generated during the flow of electric current. It acts as a disturbance to the useful signal and therefore degrades the quality of the signal. In other words, the signal-to- noise ratio ( in English: signal - to-noise ratio, SNR or S / N) is reduced.

The term current noise is usually very commonly used as a collective term so he summarizes a variety of effects together, which can cause noise during the flow of electric current. More rarely, the term is equated with a single cause, the shot noise.
