The camera

The integrated digital camera has a 41 - megapixel image sensor with a native resolution of 7728 x 5368 pixels. In practice shooting is possible with approximately 38.5 megapixels. Here the effective resolution depends on the image format 4:3 ( 7152 x 5368 pixels) or 16:9 ( 7728 x 4354 pixels), with either the full width or length of the image sensor is exploited. The sensor surface is higher than the better compacts with 1/ 1 2 inches. For image processing of this dataset special graphics processors have been developed. The camera supports two modes, "Pure View" and "Full Resolution". When Pure View mode from the 41 megapixels are the best information about 3, 5 or 8 megapixels compacted. Alternatively, it may be selected in accordance with a large cut-out for up to three or four times digital zoom, to enable a lossless zoom. When full- resolution mode, the images are saved at full resolution, which are then up to 20 megabytes in size.

The development of the camera lasted about five years. Therefore, the Nokia 808 will be shipped with Nokia "Belle" Feature Pack 1 operating system.

Criticism

Criticism is mainly the awkwardness and the fact that the 808 is shipped with the already obsolete " Symbian " operating system and Nokia "Belle".
