Nomic

Nomic is a genus of games whose rules are self-referential and can be changed by the players.

The original initial rule set has been formulated by Peter Suber in his book, The Paradox of Self- Amendment. It mainly specifies the way in which the rules can be changed. It defines some " immutable " rules and some variable rules, including the aim of the game is to win 100 "points". Since the rule that determines that an invariable rule can not be changed, but in turn is variable, can ultimately be changed every rule of the game.

Many Nomic games have next to explicit rules aim or " profits " of the game nor the implicit rule that the player who brings a rule change and interspersed, which produces a paradox - that leads that contradict rules - wins. Likewise, a player wins, which recognizes an already longer existing paradox first.

There are also playing a variant Nomic, in which one starts with no rules and gets involved only in the course of the game on first rules.
