Arkhangelsk Talagi

Nordavia (Russian Нордавиа ), until December 2009 Aeroflot -Nord ( Аэрофлот - Норд ), is a Russian regional airline based in Arkhangelsk and based on the Talagi airport.

History

Nordavia emerged from the 1929 incurred Arkhangelsk Regional Department of the then Soviet state airline Aeroflot. From 1991, this division was as a national airline under the name Archangelskije Wosduschnyje Linii ( Архангельские воздушные линии to German " Arkhangelsk Airlines " ) continued until then Aeroflot-Nord was registered as a limited company in 2004.

Incidents

  • On September 14, 2008 due to pilot error when Aeroflot Flight 821 crashed a Boeing 737-500 of the former Aeroflot-Nord during the approach to land at the airport Bolshoye Savino from. All 88 occupants were killed. In the flight, it was actually a flight of the parent company Aeroflot, but this was carried out in the framework of a cooperation of Aeroflot -Nord.
