The Norf train station is a train station, the city of Neuss on the left Lower Rhine route.

Location

The breakpoint is located between the districts of Neuss Norf and Derikum. It is the amusing lines here to the traffic hub of the Neuss South ( not to be confused with Neuss Süd, which the south of the city says ), among others, the neighborhoods Gnadental, Erftal, Grimlinghausen and Uedesheim. In addition, the line 878 is used to connect to the station Grevenbroich and hence to the Rhine -Erft and the line 827 to the south of Düsseldorf.

History

The station forecourt was built in 1855 for the opening of the Left Lower Rhine route. After the incorporation of the city in the city of Neuss Norf the name was retained and not renamed in Neuss -Norf. Since 1985, the Norfer station is served by line S 11 the S- Bahn Rhein -Ruhr.

Planning

Since the Norfer station could be a much more significant station from its location ago when he is currently the town of Neuss has decided in its transport development plan to make several bus lines run through the area around Norf to connect other parts of the city to the Norfer station.

Are planned:

  • A bus service every 20 minutes ( during rush hour ) from Norf about Pigeon, Grimlinghausen and Gnadental under bypass the normal bus lane downtown on the Europadamm the harbor to the main train station.
  • Extension of bus route 844 to Norf
  • A bus route from Uedesheim, Pigeon, Norf, Hoisten, Weckhoven, Reuschenberg for wood home ( implementation unlikely)
