Norman Luboff

Norman Luboff ( born May 14, 1917 in Chicago, Illinois, † September 22, 1987 in Bynim / North Carolina) was an American choral conductor, arranger and composer.

Luboff studied at the University of Chicago and at the Central College of the city and was a student of Leo Sowerby. He worked as a singer and arranger for radio stations in Chicago until he moved Mitter 1940s to New York.

In 1948, he came as an arranger and composer of film music for Warner Bros. to Hollywood and has composed and arranged music for more than 80 feature films and numerous television productions. He was choirmaster of Gordon MacRaes broadcast The Railroad Hour and played recordings with musicians such as Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Jo Stafford and Doris Day one.

Mid-1950s founded the Norman Luboff Choir Luboff. With this he went every year 1963-1987 on tour, he took on more than 75 LPs.
