Norman Wexler
Norman Wexler ( born August 6 1926 in New Bedford (Massachusetts ); † August 23, 1999 in Washington, DC) was an American screenwriter.
Wexler was educated at Harvard and then worked in New York as a newspaper reporter. He also wrote plays for the theater. For his first screenplay for Joe, he received an Oscar nomination as well as for the following to Serpico. These successes could not reach with his other works. Without naming uncredited Wexler was also known as script doctor for films such as A woman looks engaged red.
