The Norsälven (former name Frika ) is a river in the Swedish province of Värmland County.
It forms the outflow of Nedre Fryken north of Lake Vänern. From there it flows over a distance of 28 km to Lake Vänern. Its mouth is about 10 km west of Karlstad. The catchment area of 4174 km ² comprises Norsälven. Its headwaters Rottnan, Röjdan and Ljusnan are inflows of Mellan - Fryken or Övre Fryken. With the source river Ljusnan the river system of the Norsälven reaches a length of 179 km.
