North Olmsted is a city in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, United States. At the 2000 census, the city population was 34,113. The city area covers an area of 30.1 km ². The city is located approximately 27 miles from Cleveland.

History

The entire area of North Olmstead was originally part of the Connecticut Western Reserve.

In 1806 was a considerable tract of land containing the present North Olmsted and other areas, for $ 30,000 to Aaron Olmstead, a wealthy partner of the Connecticut Land Company, sold. 1829 offered the legacy of the construction of a library for the designation of the place of his father.

In 2000, there were 34113 residents in 13517 households, and 9367 in North Olmsted, which corresponds to a population density of 1132 inhabitants per square kilometer.
