The Northern laclo, also laclo, Mota Mota laclo and Lakló ( Tetum: Ribeira de laclo, Portuguese: Ribeira de laclo do Norte or Rio laclo do Norte ), is a river that forms the largest hydrographic basin of East Timor.
Course
The Northern laclo and its tributaries reach a total length of 485 km. In addition to Lois, he is one of the few rivers that carry water all year round in the northern part of the island, as they are fed from the south.
The Northern laclo springs from the Bericuteweiher, south of Dili, then flows northeast through the subdistrict laclo, where several rivers flow into him and reached the Timorese north coast between Ponta de Subaio and the Baía de Lanessana at Manatuto in the same district.
Bridges
In the 1960s, a bridge over the laclo was built by the Portuguese for the first time. But shortly after the inauguration, she was swept away. The architect was dismissed, but found a job with the company that was commissioned to rebuild the bridge. After it was built a few years back, she collapsed again.
Trivia
For Southern laclo flowing into the Timor Sea from the central mountains to the south, there is no direct connection.
