Norwegian Film School

The filmskolen norske is the only Norwegian film and television school. It was founded in 1997 as a separate department of the university and is also located in Lillehammer Lillehammer.

The college offers a three-year training in the areas of film and television with theoretical and practical lessons. Its now 220 graduates (as of 2013) include, among others, the directors Sara Johnsen, Roar Uthaug, Hisham Zaman and Hallvar Witzø. Letzgenannter was nominated for his final film Tuba Atlantic, 2012 for an Oscar.
