Nostis et nobiscum

Nostis et nobiscum is an encyclical of Pope Pius IX, it is subtitled. " On the Church in the papal state." On December 8, 1849, the Pope turned with this encyclical to the archbishops and bishops in Italy and highlights in the input part that he had already spoken earlier to socialism, as he did in his encyclical Qui pluribus (1846 ) revolutionary socialism as unauthorized and directed against the theory of nature called and called him again a wretched enemy of truth, justice and honor.

Through these machinations he saw the Italian State and the Catholic Church endangered and vehemently against the encroaching Protestantism, he called to say malice and impudence, that this should replace Catholicism. The theories of socialism and communism designated Pius IX. as confusing and perverted teachings and he forbade any contact with the " enemies of the Church." He called his brethren to revitalize and asked them not to admit that Italy would be the victim of predators. There are diabolical machinations and false promises that are cloaked in the mantle of equality and freedom to seduce people. Finally, he reminded the clergy to their Christian duties, he instructed the bishops to select only suitable candidates for the formation of priests and put on a good high, facing the Christian doctrines, priestly formation.
