Nova Hartz is a town of 17535 inhabitants in the state of Rio Grande do Sul in southern Brazil. It is located about 65 km northeast of Porto Alegre. Adjacent are the places Araricá, Igrejinha, Parobé, Santa Maria do Herval and Sapiranga. Originally Nova Hartz was part of the Munizips Parobé and Sapiranga.
