Novatus

Novatus († 151 in Rome ) was a presbyter and saint.

Novatus was a son of the Senator Pudens, is said to have housed the Apostle Peter in his house on the Esquiline. It should have been an important refuge for the early Christian community in the city of Rome in the sequence. Novatus ' siblings were Pudentiana, Praxedis and Timothy, which are as Pudens and Novatus itself, venerated as a saint.

Commemoration of the Holy is the 20th June. His relics are venerated in the Santa Pudenziana and Santa Prassede churches.
