November (Roman month)
November was the ninth month of the ancient Roman calendar and the precursor of today's month of November.
The month is named after the Latin word novem for " nine ".
In the year 153 BC, the beginning of the year has been brought forward by two months, so that the direct name and Zählbeziehung accounted for. The November thus became the eleventh month.
