( [ Listen? / I] russian Нововоронежская АЭС -II, abbreviation НВАЭС II, NWAES II) The nuclear power plant Novovoronesh II is one of two nuclear power plants near the city Novovoronesh in Central Russia. It is currently under construction and will be built near the existing nuclear power plant Novovoronesh.
History
In 2006 the project was from 2007 to 2015 brought on the way by the government. This project contains the project, from 2012 to adopt two new reactors in operation every year. Here, the nuclear power plant Novovoronesh II was planned. It was decided in 1999 to build the nuclear power plant Novovoronesh II. In June 1999 Gosatomnadzdor had already handed over the license for construction. At this time, however, the VVER -1000 were planned with a longer construction period of ten years. Funding for the project was also problematic. On 20 June 2007, preparations began for the site. On 21 June 2007 the cornerstone of the nuclear power plant was laid.
The power plant will have two reactors of the type WWER-1200/392M in design of AES - 2006. The reactors will be the first of its kind. In 2012, the first block is scheduled to go online, one year later the second. The costs of the project are around 110 to 130 billion rubles which is about 3.8 billion euros. The city Novovoronesh is likewise increased by the workers of the new power plant, an apartment has to offer. In early 2008, the first two residential blocks were finished.
Preconstruction
Especially for the power plant two purpose-built cranes were purchased from Baltkran built and delivered on 9 November 2007. Only the bridge of such a crane has a length of 60 meters. The cranes can carry up to 160 tons of loads. On 17 April 2008 the excavation of the foundation for the first block was completed. A total of over 400,000 cubic meters of earth were removed. The earthworks for the second block will also be completed shortly.
Beginning of 2008, working on the construction site, 600 people. In the year 2008, this number should be increased to 1,500 workers.
On 29 May 2008 the company Power Machines had won the contract to supply the turbines and generators from 2010 to 2012 for the power plant and nuclear power plant Leningrad II. This RosEnergoAtom has signed a contract for the supply of the components in the amount of 1.7 billion dollars. Part of the financing of the power plant takes over Gazprombank. Later, should they be bought by Rosatom. According to the engineering works of the price of the turbines should be at $ 127 million. However, some nuclear experts this price seems too high.
After the preparatory work of building the first unit was officially launched on 24 June 2008. The reactor will be the most powerful reactor in Russia. The construction of the second reactor was started on July 12, 2009. The emergency generators worth 26 million euros with MTU engines of the type " 20V 956 TB33 " to be delivered by the drive system and power plant Tognum Group in early 2012.
