Nowa Bystrzyca

Nowa Bystrzyca ( German Neuweistritz, formerly New Weistritz ) is a village in the south of the powiat Kłodzki in the Province of Lower Silesia in Poland. It is located five kilometers west of Bystrzyca Kłodzka ( Habelschwerdt ) to the community it belongs to.

Geography

Stara Bystrzyca located south of the Glatzer boiler in the eastern foothills of Habelschwerdter Mountains. Neighboring towns are Zalesie in the north, Stara Bystrzyca in the northeast, Bystrzyca Kłodzka in the east, Spalona in the southwest and Młoty and Wójtowice in the northwest.

History

Neuweistritz was first mentioned in 1412 as the Newen Wystricz. It was the parish after Habelschwerdt and belonged to Glatzer country with which it shared the story of his political and religious affiliation. After the Silesian Wars, it came along with the county of Glatz in 1763 with the Peace of Hubertusburg to Prussia. After the reorganization of Prussia belonged since 1815 to the province of Silesia and was first incorporated into the county of Glatz. 1818 was reclassified in the newly formed district Habelschwerdt to which it belonged until 1945. From 1874, the rural communities Altweistritz, hammer, Hüttenguth, Krotenpfuhl, Neuweistritz, Late forest and Voigtsdorf formed the District Old Weistritz. In the second half of the 19th century in Neuweistritz was a factory for wood pulp, made ​​from the paper. Below is a mechanical production of paper and the production of cardboard and cartons was taken. The plant, about 100 workers were employed in 1900. From the mid- 1920s the company of M. Pam & Co, which modernized the operation, so that daily up to 10 tons of paper could be produced belonged. 1939 counted 600 residents.

As a result of World War II Neuweistritz fell in 1945 as almost all of Silesia to Poland and was renamed Nowa Bystrzyca. The German population was expelled. The new inhabitants were partly displaced persons from eastern Poland. The number of inhabitants was subsequently significantly. From 1945 Nowa Bystrzyca belonged to the powiat Bystrzycki which was founded in 1975, as well as the competent until then Wrocław Voivodeship dissolved. 1975-1998 belonged to Nowa Bystrzyca Voivodeship Wałbrzych. The town has a paper mill and bottling is for mineral water.

Attractions

  • The branch church " Assumption " was built in 1726 in place of a cemetery chapel, and was initially the "St. " Dedicated to the Holy Trinity. It is a holzverschalter log construction. The interior dates from the 18th century. In the main altar is located in the upper part of a relief depicting St. Trinity, in the lower part of a statue of Mary in the aureole. The church is now a branch church of Wójtowice.
  • The mortuary chapel next to the church was built in 1772. The crucifixion scene is from the year 1795.
  • Above the village stands a baroque cross paths with the appearance of a double-headed eagle in the base.
