Nowy Dwór, Szczytno County

Nowy Dwór [ nɔvɨ dvur ] ( German Neuhof ) is a part of the rural community Jedwabno in Poland. The town is located 10 kilometers west of the city Szczytno ( German: Ortelsburg ) and belongs to the powiat Szczycieński in the Warmia - Mazury.

History

The first written mention of the village was carried out on 4 April 1571st By 1945, the town belonged to the district Neidenburg in East Prussia. 1898 Neuhof, which had belonged up to that time to the parish Jedwabno, an independent evangelical parish was. To this were also the places Alfredshof, Braynicken, Dziersken, Ittowen, Ittowken, Warchallen ( circle Neidenburg ) Georgensguth, Sawitzmühle and Schwirgstein ( circle Ortelsburg ).

In January 1945 the place was captured by Soviet troops.
