Nucet

Nucet (Hungarian Diófás ) is a town of about 2500 inhabitants in the county of Bihor in Romania. The name means " walnut trees ".

The village was only after the Second World War as a settlement for miners after uranium mining areas were opened up in nearby Bihorgebirge. In the 1960s, lived in Nucet about 5600 inhabitants. After the uranium mining setting, the population went back significantly.
