History

The rock band was founded in 1985 in Miami, Florida by the singer and guitarist Froilan Sosa and bassist Juan Diaz. They had some small appearances and rather moved underground when they met guitarist Jorge Barcala and drummer Robert Slade LeMont and the line-up completed. The band's name refers to a work colleague of Diaz, who had an " explosive " mind.

In the late 1980s, the band signed a recording contract with Epic Records and released her first album called I Am I in July 1989. " I Am I 's " political texts brought the band quickly with socially engaged rock bands like The Alarm in connection with which occurred soon together. This happened for example at a very early episode of MTV Unplugged.

The lead single from the album, "Summer", which the Cuban Revolution ( 1953-1959 ) 's content has been frequently played on MTV, but did not achieve chart position. Your 1991's follow-up album Dream Another Dream was much more complicated in its structure and mainly dealt with the Latin roots of the band members. This change in style came with the American fans not particularly good, so that Nuclear Valdez decided to an extended break, during which they left the band to rest.

In the late 1990s they began to work together again and write new songs. 2000 took over Dan Ceratelli the position of Jorge Barcala as a guitarist and they took on the new songs, which were then published in 2002 on the indie label One Way Records as In a Minute All Could Change.
