Nuevo San Juan Parangaricutiro

Nuevo San Juan Parangaricutiro or Parangaricutirimícuaro is a municipality in Mexico. It is located 1,880 meters above sea level on the plateau of Tarascan near the Paricutin volcano in the state of Michoacán. 2005, the city had 12,710 inhabitants.

The village was founded in 1943 by an eruption of the volcano completely destroyed and then rebuilt.
