Nuno Melo

Nuno Melo ( born March 18, 1966 in Joane ) is a Portuguese politician of the CDS -PP. Since 2009 he is member of the European Parliament.

Melo is Deputy Chairman of the CDS -PP and Chairman of the Committee in the political district of Braga. For some years he presided over the council of Vila Nova de Famalicão. He sat for a few years in the Assembleia da República and was there from 2004 to 2006 Chairman of the Group of CDS -PP and Vice President of the Parliament. In the European elections in 2009, he was the top candidate of his party. In the European Parliament, the chairman of the delegation of his party and Deputy Chairman of the Delegation for relations with the Mercosur countries.
