The Japanese pond lily (Nuphar japonica) is a species of the family Nymphaeaceae ( Nymphaeaceae ). In Japan, it is as Kōhone or Kawahone (河 骨,川 骨) is known.
Features
The Japanese pond lily is a perennial aquatic plant with a rhizome that grows in water depths of 50 to 80 centimeters. The Schwimmblattspreite is more than 2.5 times as long as wide, narrowly ovate to oblong and measures 20-40 × 5-12 cm. The flowers have a diameter of 4 to 8 centimeters. The nectar leaves are about 8 millimeters long. The scars disc is about 11 - rayed.
Bloom time is from July to August.

The Japanese pond rose comes in Japan in lakes, ponds and shallow water areas of rivers.
Use
The Japanese Pond Rose is scattered used as an ornamental plant in garden ponds.
