NUTS of France
As NUTS: FR or NUTS regions in France are referred to the territorial division of France follow the European " Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics (NUTS)".
Basics
In France, the three NUTS levels are assigned as follows:
- NUTS -1: 9 ZEAT ( acronym for Zone d' études et d' aménagement du territoire )
- NUTS -2: the 26 regions ( régions fr. )
- NUTS3: 100 departments ( Mayotte, which is a department since March 31, 2011 missing)
