NWE T 1 to 3

The four-axle tow railcars T 1-3 were intended to make the railway operations of the Nordhausen - Wernigerode Railway Company rationalized in the peak periods.

History

The first railcar was built in 1935 at MAN with 23 seats, a matching sidecar built his own workshop. Each axis are driven by a separate electric motor. The first experiences were positive, but the performance was not sufficient. So those supplied by the wagon Wismar 1939 episode vehicles received stronger MAN engines. They were also designed as a pure drag railcars without personnel compartment only with baggage compartment. They were also to take four coaches on the slopes in the area. The railcars were end walls on the doors and a transitional facility. At T 1, the front wall was just in the other two cars it was slightly tilted from the window area.

With the takeover by the German Reichsbahn in 1949 they got the numbers VT 137 561, 565 and 566 The VT 137 561 1961 delivered to the Spreewaldbahn, where he only two years, however, was in use before due to lack of spare parts as well as the VT was 137 565 off. In Wittenberg the two railcars were scrapped in 1967 and 1969 and only the still existing former T 3 was given in 1972 by the Deutsche Reichsbahn by mistake the wrong computer number 185 025, which was only in 1978 changed to 187 025. When changing one went pragmatic and changed only two digits, the series and the check digit - because actually it was by the T 1 of the GHE (187 001) and this railcar no other vehicles. Most of the time however, he was turned off for the compressor the compressed air system to start, there were no spare parts. In the DR, the ribbon windows were given a coat in ivory, while the rest of the car body remained red above and below the windows.

Since 1993 he has been in possession of the Harz narrow gauge railways and was founded in 1999 after more than twenty years of shut- worked again operational. He received a new diesel engine from Cummins, as he had also been used in the construction railcars. 2003, the electric motors were overhauled. The railcar is, contrary to other existing railcars of HSB painted one color burgundy and comes exclusively in special service used. Only in 2007, he came because of the revisions of the new railcars HSB 187016-019 in the Schedule service.
