The Oaky River is a river in the northeast of the Australian state of New South Wales.
Geography
The river below the Round Mountain in Cathedral Rock National Park in the northern tablelands of New South Wales. From its source, it flows about 51 km to the southwest and flows in the northern part of the Oxley Wild Rivers National Park in the Chandler River.
Shortly before entering the Oxley Wild Rivers National Park, the river to the Oaky River Lake ( 891 m above sea level) is dammed and used its water power to generate electric power. Then, the river plunges into the wild Oaky River Gorge.

The Oaky River and its tributaries are considered good fish for trout water and there is also platypus.
