OBIX

Open Building Information Exchange, abbreviated oBIX, has to allow objective, a vendor-neutral communication between the mechanical and electronic control systems in buildings and enterprise applications.

To this M2M communication to enable ( Machine to Machine, " machine-to- machine" ), oBIX defined an object-oriented specification of XML files. These are communicated by means of Web service based on the standards HTTP and SOAP.

Developed oBIX of the Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards ( OASIS ), an international, not -for-profit organization that deals with the development of e-business and web service standards.
