Oceania Continent Handball Federation

The Continent Oceania Handball Federation (short OCHF; German " Oceanic Continental Handball Federation " ) is the governing body for handball in Oceania and one of five continental federations of the International Handball Federation (IHF ). The OCHF was inducted into the International Handball Federation in 2010 instead of the previous association OHF. Oceania From 1999, with the exception of the World Cup 2001 participants at the World Championships; previously this was always Australia. The oceanic Federation led besides its continental championship time, a separate WC Qualifying through. This was necessary because the two associate members Tahiti and New Caledonia are not members of the IHF and therefore can not qualify for the World Cup. Both tournaments were held, however, usually as a direct result sequentially in the same place. The OHF was thus the only continental association whose continental champions did not qualify directly for the World Cup. Since then, the OCHF has taken over the organization, the continental championship is again the same as the World Cup qualifiers. At the championship in 2012 but took with Australia and New Zealand only two teams in part.
