Oeagrus

Oeagrus (Greek Οἴαγρος, the lone hunter ) is in Greek mythology, king of Pieria in northern Greece. As a parent, the nymph Methoni, eponymous to the Thracian city Methoni, and Piero, the eponymous King of Pieria, called.

He is considered the father of Orpheus, the bore him the Muse Calliope. As a father of Orpheus is also competitive often referred to Apollo, which is probably better understood allegorically.

Another son of Kalliope is killed by Heracles Linos.
