Oenopides (crater)

Oenopides is an impact crater on the northwestern edge of the moon 's front panel. It lies on the northern edge of Oceanus Procellarum, north-west of the sinus Roris, between the craters Markov in the south and Pythagoras in the north. The crater interior is just with smaller craters, the Wall is moderately eroded.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the Greek mathematician Oenopides.
