Oersted (crater)

Oersted is a lunar impact crater on the northeast front. It is located southeast of the great crater Atlas. The crater is relatively unobtrusive, since the crater rim is heavily eroded and almost leveled.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the Danish physicist and chemist Hans Christian Ørsted.
