Atlas is an impact crater on the moon northeastern front of the southeastern edge of Mare Frigoris. It is located east DERS slightly smaller crater Hercules. Its soil has strong fault structures that Rimae Atlas, which is why he is considered one of the floor - fractured craters ( Class I).
