Offertory
The offertory (from Latin offerre, present ') is a liturgical song for offertory in the Mass. During the offertory the gifts of bread and wine are brought to the altar and gathered the collection. This is followed by the offertory, the sink and the prayer over the gifts.
The offertory part of the proprium, so the changing of the date or time in the church year texts of the Mass.
