The L series includes legislation such as regulations, directives and decisions, recommendations and opinions of the institutions of the European Union. In OJ. L is also published the Directory of Community legislation in force.

The C series contains Information and Notices, the most important are probably the summaries of judgments of the European Court of Justice and Court of First Instance to call.
