Ognjen Vranješ ( born October 24, 1989 in Banja Luka, SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Bosnian - Herzegovinian footballer.

Career

He began his career as a teenager at FK Borac Banja Luka in his hometown. As a professional, he played for FK 2009 Red Star Belgrade. In 2010 he was loaned to the club FK Napredak Kruševac and Sheriff Tiraspol from Moldova. In 2011, he joined the Russian club FK Krasnodar. He is currently at Alania Vladikavkaz under contract. In January 2014 Vranješ was awarded to the Turkish first division club Sanica Boru Elazığspor.

National

Ognjen Vranješ played eleven times for the Bosnian U21 national team and scored two goals. He headed both goals in the match against the U21 from Montenegro.

The first appeal to the Bosnian national team was under Safet Sušić in the first two qualifying matches for the UEFA EURO 2012 against Luxembourg and France. He made his debut on 17 November 2010 in a friendly against Slovakia.
