Ogunlade Davidson

Ogunlade R. Davidson is a climatologist from Sierra Leone.

Davidson studied up to the Bachelor 's degree in Engineering at the University of Sierra Leone ( USL ), then received his Master of Science at the University of Manchester and a PhD from the University in neighboring Salford.

From 1985 to 1992 he worked as a research director at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone, 1992-2000, he worked at this facility initially as Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, since 1996 as Dean of the Faculty. In 2000, he was Director of the Research Centre for Energy and Development at the University of Cape Town, where he remained until the end of 2003. Since 2004 he has again at Fourah Bay College as Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering busy, he also teaches as a visiting professor at the UNEP Collaborating Centre on Energy and Environment in Denmark.

As early as 1997 he was appointed to work on the Third Assessment Report the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. In 2007, he was " Mitigation of Climate Change" again involved as Co-Chair of Working Group III in a position of responsibility in the preparation of the Fourth Assessment Report.
