ÅŒkami-san (novel series)
Ōkami -san (Japaneseオオカミ さん) is a light novel series, which was written by the author Masashi Okita and illustrated by the artist Unaji. The first issue of unfinished series was published in 2006 by ASCII Media Works. In 2010, the book series has been adapted as both manga as well as produced by JCStaff anime television series.

Action
In the center of the story is the student Ryoko Ōkami (大 神 凉子) that one of the members of the school clubs Otogi Gakuen Gakusei Sogo Fujo Kyōkai (御 伽 学园 学生 相互 扶助 协会, German " Society for the mutual help of students the Otogi - school" ), short Otogi Ginko (御 伽 银行, dt " Otogi Bank " ) is. This school club has made it his mission to assist other students with their problems to, in turn later to demand a favor of the nightlife Olfenen. The members of the club take almost any risk. However, they still lack in particular a male member since the club consists primarily of females. The choice to Ryoshi Morino (森 野 亮 士), which is obviously interested in Ryoko falls. Allusions
As the story progresses there are parodied various fairy tales and also the individual names containing allusions to fairy tales. Thus, starting from the Japanese words Otogi no kuni (御伽 の 国, " Wonderland" ), otogizōshi (御 伽 草 子, " storybook " ) interpreted or otogibanashi (御 伽 话, " fairy tale " ) Otogi (御 伽) here as " fairytale " be and Otogi Gakuen and Otogi Ginko, therefore, as a " fairy tale school" and " fairy tale Bank" to be understood. For the characters results in Japanese name order:
- Ryoko Ōkami and Morino Ryoshi: Ōkami is identical to Japanese for "wolf" (狼, Ōkami ) and Morino Ryoshi name to mori no Ryoshi (森 の 猟師) " hunters out of the woods ". Both names are thus an allusion to the fairy tale Little Red Riding Hood.
- Akai Ringo: The name is identical to akai ringo (赤い 林檎) " red apple " and alludes to the poisoned apple from Snow White to.
- Kiriki Risuto and Arisu: The names play on the two eponymous animals of fable Ari to kirigirisu, Japanese for The Ant and the Grasshopper, at.
- Tsurugaya Otsu: The last name translates as " Kranichtal " alludes to the crane from the setsuwa (Japanese folk tale, fairy tale ) Tsuru no Ongaeshi (鶴の恩返し, " The Grateful Crane ").
- Urashima taro: The name of the protagonist from the fairy tale Urashima taro.
- Ryugu Otohime: Princess Otohime of the Dragon Palace ( Ryugu ) from the fairy tale Urashima taro.
- Majolica le Fay: From Morgan Le Fay from the Arthurian legends.
Formation and Publications
The Light Novel series Ōkami -san is written by the Japanese author Masashi Okita and used illustrations of the artist Unaji. The first book of the series was released on 10 August 2006 under the title Ōkami -san to Shichinin no Nakama - tachi. Editor of the book series is the publisher ASCII Media Works, who published so far 10 copies under the imprint Dengeki Bunko.
Adaptations
Manga
With respect to the adaptation into an anime television series Ōkami -san was adapted in advance to as manga series drawn by Kurumi Suzushiro. It is based on the written by Masashi Okita action and magazine Dengeki Daioh appears in, which is published as the book series by ASCII Media Works since 27 February 2010.
Anime
Based on the light novel series produced the animation studio JCStaff a comprehensive thirteen episodes anime television series. The resulting directed by Yoshiaki Iwasaki Series took over as well as the manga the title of the first book band: Ōkami -san to Shichinin no Nakamatachi (オオカミさんと七人 の 仲間たち).
The first broadcast took place from July 1 to September 16, 2010 on AT -X. A few days later also started the Japanese television Chiba TV, Sun TV, Tokyo MX, TV Aichi, TV Kanagawa and TV Saitama with the broadcast.
