The Okayama Airport (Japanese冈山 空港, Okayama - Kuko ) is a small commercial airport in the city of Okayama in Japan, Okayama Prefecture. The airport is located about 12 kilometers north- west of downtown Okayama. The airport is connected by a regular shuttle bus directly to the Shinkansenbahnhof in Okayama. From here, there are currently (2014) both international connections to Seoul, Taipei ( summer timetable on 30 March 14), Shanghai, and Guam as well as domestic connections to Tokyo -Haneda, Sapporo - Chitose and Okinawa. The Okayama airport is considered by the Japanese legislation as third class airport.
