Ökoinstitut Südtirol/Alto Adige
The Ökoinstitut Südtirol / Alto Adige is a non-profit organization promoting sustainable development and is active in national and international level. It was founded in 1989, among others, Hans Glauber and has its headquarters in Bolzano since then. Since 2012, the Institute for Applied Ecology of Andreas Pichler is headed.

Activities and projects
The Ökoinstitut Südtirol / Alto Adige manages projects at the local and at the international level and is next to a consultant for public and private institutions. The fields of activity extending from the advice in questions of mobility and climate and energy on the organization of measures to raise awareness. This includes the organization of the annual Car Free Day in South Tyrol, the bicycle mobility concept of the flagship city of Bolzano or development cooperation agreement with Lebanon to the dissemination of solar thermal energy.
