Olaf Berner

Olaf Berner ( born August 31, 1949 in Itzehoe ) is a German teacher and former handball player.

Olaf Berner is a member of THW Kiel since the early 1960s. He changed the meantime twice for TSV old wood, with whom he played in the Handball - Bundesliga, but returned each time back to the THW. From 1976 to 1978, the 1.84 meter tall left-winger for the THW Kiel ran in the Bundesliga, scoring 24 goals, including 13 seven-meter. In the season 1977/78 he was captain of the zebras.

Berner is a teacher of geography and sports as well as vice-principal at the Kiel Klaus- Groth -Schule. Since 1986 he has school sports commissioner of the city of Kiel. He is married and has two children.
