Olaf Schmäler

Olaf Narrows ( born November 10, 1969 in Lüneburg ) is a former German football player. He is the brother of the Bundesliga player Nils Narrows.

Playing career

Schmäler began his career in the youth E of SC Victoria Brunswick. Mid-1980s, he decided to become a professional player, and joined in 1984 the youth of Eintracht Braunschweig. At the time Schmäler was also invited to the various youth national teams of the DFB.

1988 Narrows wrote his first professional contract at VfB Stuttgart. Until 1992, he came at the Bundesliga due to various injuries, but only sporadically used and then to SV Waldhof Mannheim in the second division. He, however, did not prevail permanently located. In 1995 he moved to VfR Heilbronn. There he ended his active career in 1996.

Greatest success was reaching the finals of the UEFA Cup in 1989 against Napoli with, inter alia, Diego Maradona. In the second leg of the finals it was a hit there even succeeded, the gate to a 3-3 draw.

Youth coach

After ending his playing career Schmäler worked as a youth coach. Initially he worked at the FV Dudenhofen and then the VFR Speyer. Since 2004 he has worked as a youth coach at the 1 FC Kaiserslautern. Narrows has finished his job in 2007 as a youth coach. Now he works as a consultant for BMS Players Sports Consulting.
