Ólafur Gottskálksson

Ólafur " Ole " Gottskálksson ( born March 12, 1968 in Keflavík ) is a former Icelandic international footballer who has played as a football goalkeeper five caps for Iceland and also was active for the national basketball team of Iceland.

Gottskálksson played in the Icelandic first division club IA Akranes and KR Reykjavík, before he moved to Keflavík ÍF. In 1997, he was sold for £ 200,000 to the Scottish club Hibernian. There he played 70 times before to England, he moved to Brentford FC 2000. In the club for which he ran aground 73 times, he had to pay even the goalkeeper coach.

After a brief return to Iceland UMF Grindavíkur, he went back to England for Margate FC in the Nationwide Conference before him Torquay United undertook in September 2004 as the successor to Arjan van Heusden.

In a routine doping test in January 2005, he fled after looking at the list of prohibited substances. In June 2005, UEFA subsequently imprisoned him for life.
