Olavi Kuronen

Eino Olavi Kuronen (born 22 January 1923 in Maaninka; † January 8, 1989 in Joensuu ) was a Finnish ski jumper.

In 1950, he jumped 90 meters on the then largest Finnish ski jump, the Puijo hill in Kuopio Finland's record. In the same year he won the U.S. Ski Jumping Championship and was awarded the Torger Tokle Memorial Trophy, an award for the winner of the U.S. Championships of Norway Club New York in Duluth, Minnesota. In the Nordic World Ski Championships 1950 in Lake Placid, he was with jumps of 64.5 m and 62 m twelfth on the normal hill.

At the Olympic Winter Games 1956 in Oslo, he was on the normal hill twelfth. It was the only international tournament in which he took.
