Old Etonians F.C.

Old Etonians Football Club is an English football club from Eton. The club, playing for the mainly graduates of Eton College, is an amateur club, who managed to win the FA Cup.

History

The club was founded by Lord Arthur Kinnaird. Officially founded in 1871, its history goes back to 1863.

After the team had in 1875 and 1876 already stood in the finals of the competition, 1879 scored the first victory in the FA Cup, as in the finals Clapham Rovers were beaten 1-0. On March 25, 1882 succeeded the second and last title win, in the final Blackburn Rovers could be beaten 1-0. The title defense failed, as Blackburn Olympic was a year later prevail 2-1 after extra time.

As an amateur club, the Old Etonian the Amateur Football Alliance joined. The club plays with in the discharged by that association Arthurian Football League and is first class since 1986. 1993 and 2005 the club each champion.
