Oldřich Rott

Oldrich Rott ( born May 26, 1951 in Opočno ) is a former Czech football player and current official of the association.

Career

Rott began playing football in Třebechovice pod Orebem, 1966, he moved to Spartak Hradec Králové. With Hradec Králové the midfielder rose to 1972 in the first Czechoslovak league. The midfielder joined in the summer of 1973 to Dukla Prague, where he played a total of ten years. He won in 1977, 1979 and 1982, the Czechoslovak Championship, 1981 and 1983 the Czechoslovak Cup.

In the 1983/84 season he played in Cyprus for EPA Larnaca, in the season 1984/85 stood at the Slavia Prague under contract.

He also won the Czechoslovak football selection at the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow the gold medal by defeating in the final the GDR 1-0.

Rott also took part in the European Football Championship 1980 in Italy, where the Czechoslovaks won the bronze medal. Overall, he played three times for Czechoslovakia.

Official career

Rott worked after his playing career in the season 2002/ 03 as sports director at FK Chmel Blšany, and later as Vice- Chairman of the Referees Committee of the Czech Football Association.
